A national advanced-technology and
alternative fuel vehicle (AFV) public awareness event -- held on one day,
April 2, 2004, in multiple locations nationwide -- with all
sites meeting the same goals and objectives yet each local event individually
tailored to meet local needs and local characteristics of the targeted
audiences. Held in multiple locations nationwide, this one-day event will be a
dazzling display of how powerful the choice to use AFVs can be.
Goals and Objectives
- To build awareness and
enthusiasm for AFVs and for clean-fueled, energy-efficient, and other
advanced- technology vehicles as viable options for consumer and fleet
transportation choice -- participants will see the trends, find the options,
meet the experts, explore ownership opportunities, and discover AFV training
and job possibilities. See also Theme and Format.
- To bring together those in
the advanced-technology vehicle communities to build awareness and focus
attention on the good work they are providing for the alternative
transportation cause. Local partners will showcase their programs and build
a platform for further dialog about advanced-technology and AFVs, cleaner
air, and energy independence in their locale.
